These are text messages not included in the subscription and are not covered by the package of free SMS. This is a micropayment service provided by the Mobile Network Operators, which consists of sending text messages to special numbers called Premium Rate numbers. How does it work in practice? The client sends an SMS to a special 4 - or 5-digit premium number that can be dedicated or shared. Premium rates numbers apply twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. Fee for sending a single text message is the same for all users of mobile phones and does not depend on your plan or your operator. premium rate numbers used for short messages are the most commonly used for different paid serviced available with the use of short text messages sent to premium rate telephone numbers. It is estimated that in Poland there are several million messages sent per month. The most frequent users of premium services are persons at the age of 20 to 30 years. Experts estimate that over time the number of people using this type of solution will increase and extend the age limits.
